Try a hint before revealing the answer

Open one hint at a time to preserve some of the challenge.

Hint 1

Sort the 12 pieces by their notch patterns and keep similarly shaped pairs together.

Hint 2

Build the open central frame first rather than trying to make complete faces.

Hint 3

The final piece enters through the side and is rotated into its locking position.

Written assembly guide

  1. Sort the 12 pieces into the labelled pairs shown in the component key.
  2. Use the first four stages to make a loose rectangular frame from the first pairs.
  3. Add the next matching pieces through the open side channels, alternating their directions.
  4. At the turnover stage, rotate the whole assembly without changing the positions of the fitted pieces.
  5. Continue adding the paired pieces until only one long channel remains.
  6. Slide the final locking piece through that channel and centre the outside faces.

Use the preserved diagram or video alongside these steps for exact orientation. The written guide is an original summary prepared for this archive.
