Hint 1

All six pieces are the same shape, so begin by making two matching three-piece halves.

Hint 2

Each new piece crosses the previous one at right angles.

Hint 3

Bring the two halves together slightly offset, rotate one half and slide them into the final star.

Join two identical pieces edge to edge, then place a third piece beneath them to create the first three-piece half.
Repeat the same arrangement with the remaining three pieces to make a mirrored half.
Hold the two halves facing each other with their open channels aligned.
Bring them together slightly offset, rotate the upper half as shown at stage 10, and slide until the points line up.
Press the two indicated sides evenly to centre the pieces and finish the star.
