Hint 1

Sort the pieces into three type-1 pieces, two type-2 pieces and one type-3 locking piece.

Hint 2

The first five pieces form an open shell; do not press them completely tight yet.

Hint 3

The single type-3 piece closes the remaining top opening and locks the ball.

Arrange the three type-1 pieces around the small central diamond to form the lower open shell.
Lower the first type-2 piece into one side of the shell.
Fit the second type-2 piece into the opposite side, leaving one opening at the top.
Insert the single type-3 piece vertically into the final opening and press the pieces evenly together.
