- Thin card from a cereal box
- Pencil, ruler, scissors and paper-safe glue
Build steps
- Print the tangram square at 100% scale.
- Glue the sheet to card and allow it to dry flat.
- Cut around the outside square, then cut precisely along every internal line.
- Label the reverse of the pieces lightly so the printed face remains clear.
- Test the set by rebuilding the square and completing the silhouette challenges.
Test and improve
- Do the pieces fit tightly enough to form a clear outline?
- Are corners accurate and edges straight?
- Can another person identify the target silhouette without explanation?
Record your design
Photograph the finished puzzle, record dimensions and materials, note every change made after testing and write a short set of user instructions.
